A new trend has risen on social media as Johnny Depp fans recreate his beloved character, Captain Jack Sparrow's run.
In the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Captain Jack Sparrow has a signature run that is shown throughout the films. Depp first brought his character to life in 2003 along with co-stars Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom. The franchise currently has five films with a sixth one in the works.
On TikTok, many fans are using the familiar score from the Pirates movie and doing their best in recreating the character's one-of-a-kind run. Underneath the sound on the video-sharing platform, there are over 151,000 videos. Some of the viral videos have hundreds of thousands of views and likes.

I can just do that myself and no one can take that away so that's the greatest pleasure of Captain Jack Sparrow," Depp said in an earlier interview.
Depp has been in the news recently due to the ongoing defamation trial. The actor is suing his ex-wife, Amber Heard, for an op-ed she wrote in 2018 titled "I spoke up against sexual violence — and faced our culture's wrath. That has to change" which was published in The Washington Post. Depp wasn't specifically mentioned in the article however, his lawyers say that it was obviously about him.
When Depp was testifying, he told the lawyer asking him a question about returning as his character if Disney paid him "$300 million dollars and a million alpacas" that he wouldn't return to the franchise, and confirmed he would not.
The trial is set to resume for its final week as closing statements are set to be heard on May 27. It can also be streamed online.
