A fun dance break is also involved. 💃

Kate Hudson is serious about maintaining total-body strength, which is why she and her trainer, Brian Nguyen, push her limits—and expand them—with intense workouts on the regular. The actress frequently shares clips of her training on Instagram, and in her latest update, she blew followers away with her strength (including her incredibly toned arms and legs!) while she performed a push sled—or as she calls it, #thehudsonsled.

At first, Hudson seemed a bit intimidated to start, or at least like she was semi-dreading the challenge. So, like anyone would, she broke out into a fun dance to pump herself up. While gripping the sled’s handle, she dropped it low and swayed her hips. She called the silly moment “distraction procrastination,” but we call it, uh, impressive. And so did Nguyen, who was behind the camera. “It’s important to do mobility between each set,” he laughed.

Eventually, Hudson mustered up the motivation to take off, and just the length of her driveway took its toll. “Push forward, push forward, push forward!” Nguyen cheered while she grunted through the exercise.

After reaching her finish line, the 43-year-old collapsed onto her nearby mat. “F*ck!” she exclaimed. “That was hard.” Still, she got it done, and that’s what matters.

“Get it done however you know how… 🏋️‍♀️ #thehudsonsled 😆,” she captioned the clip. Nguyen reshared it and wrote: “Endorphins through beautiful strength.”

Dance break and all, Hudson’s followers were taken aback by her endurance. “Yaaaaaassss babe !😍” Janelle Monae commented. “Morning inspo 💖✨,” another added. “Lol! Love this! Thought you were gearing up to mow the lawn!😂” someone else wrote.

If it wasn’t already clear, the mom of three loves to challenge herself in new ways, and well, she’s pretty good at it. “I like to be able to set new goals to see what I can accomplish, and I love how flexible and strong I feel after a good workout, especially doing Pilates, which never gets easier,” she told People last year.

That’s why you’ll rarely catch her posting the same workout twice. She’s done everything from lifting weights to squat-focused butt workouts to intense leg exercises on her mat. Perhaps most impressive of all, she can slay an Onnit HydroCore Bag set, which works her arms and abs at the same time.

Even when she doesn’t have time for a full session with Nguyen, she finds a way to get her steps in. “I need to be moving to feel good,” she told People. “Even just making time for a little movement every day—going for a walk, doing a few minutes on the treadmill, some Pilates, or if I have more time for it, I love hot yoga.”

If someone as busy as Hudson can make time for movement, we can too. Consider us inspired to break a sweat.
